Plant Hire Rugby

Rugby is our closest working area, from the older terraces around Hillmorton and New Bilton to the newer plots at Houlton and the industrial units near the M1 and M6 corridors.

What Rugby jobs usually need

A large share of Rugby enquiries are domestic driveways and rear-garden works on Victorian and inter-war streets where the only access is a side alley or a shared entry. In those cases a 0.8-tonne micro digger with retractable tracks is normally the realistic choice, paired with a small tracked dumper so spoil can be walked out without damaging block paving.

On the newer estates around Houlton and Cawston, access is usually wider and the ground is often made up or recently landscaped. A 1.5-tonne or 3-tonne machine with a grading bucket tends to suit patio bases, garden re-levelling and drainage connections into recent adopted systems.

Commercial enquiries near Central Park, Somers Road and the Butlers Leap estates lean towards 3 and 5-tonne excavators, rollers for car park sub-base and breakers for concrete slab removal in older units.

Access and delivery notes

Delivery into central Rugby streets often needs an early slot to avoid parked cars, and some terraces require the machine to be offloaded on the road and tracked in. Tell us the access width, any parking restrictions and whether there is a dropped kerb, and we will factor that into the availability check.

Ground conditions around the town vary from heavy clay to old made ground, which affects machine choice and whether tracking mats are worth including in the quote.
